VALENTINE IDEAS

Many people ask me what I do while the kids are at school. Well the answer is run errands, clean house, etc. I also like to make different things. Here are a few things that I have been working on for Valentine's Day. I love to make little things to give a way. If you like the ideas, please use them to make someone else happy. They are pretty cheap to make. I'm always using craft store coupons and of course Wal-mart is always cheap on their candy.
I found these cute buckets at Roberts. Of course I got them when they were on 50 percent off. The large bucket I'm going to fill with the makings of a date night, such as a gift certificate to the movies and dinner. Of course that is for my honey. The smaller bucket is for the kids teachers. I am going to fill this with some kind of candy that the kids pick out. The smaller jar I got in a set of 4 from Ikea. This is great to fill with candy and give to your visiting teachers, neighbors, etc.
This is a Hershy's candy bar wrapped in a piece of decorated card stock with a little tag. E. wanted me to make this for her best friend for Valentine's Day. Something that a kid would want candy.

Instead of buying Valentine's Day cards this year and then watch them get thrown in the trash the kids and I decided to make our own. We got little hershy bar (you can buy them in a package of 8 at walmart for 1.18) and stamped a heart on a computer label and now all the kids have to do is write who they are to and from. The treat and card in one.

I made this cute little bag of treats for all of my grandma's care givers. All I did was put some conversation hears in a small candy bag and make a bag topper out of ribbon and paper. It was easy and cheap.
I hope you can use some of these ideas for Valentine's. If you need more instructions leave a comment with your email and I can get with you.
