Dear Family and Friends,
I can't believe that another year has come and gone, and a whole year of new memories have been made. We have been very busy making these memories over the past year. We spent the beginning of the year skiing. The kids loved it. J. is getting really good on the snow board, he has very good balance and can stay pretty much in control of his board. He did try to go up one of the ramps, but did not get enough speed and ended up on his back. E. flies down the hill on her skies in a snow plow position likes she needs to be the first one down the hill. We were able to take a fun trip to California in the spring with dad's family. We spent time on the beach, Seaworld, and Disneyland. Over the summer, we spent alot of time camping. The kids love it and so does dad. The kids love to be adventurous and make things out of anything they can find. They even made quite a shelter on one weekend. They were really bummed when we had to take it down when it was time to leave. Then school started for us. J. is in 5th grade and E. is in 1st grade. They both have good teachers and work hard. Their favorite thing about school is recess. J. keeps busy hanging out with his friends, scouts, skateboarding, playing video games, and annoying his sister. E. likes to play with her friends, play outside, baseball, soccer, and of course annoying her brother. They both take an art class once a week and they love it. They are both very talented. Dad has been busy working still for Rio Tinto in Investment Relations. He enjoys his job very much. When he is not working he loves to hang out with the kids, play golf, camping, and his new hobby rock painting. Mom stays home and takes care of the house. She also volunteers in each of the kids classroom at school, scrapbooks, makes cards, and enjoys being with the family. To finish off the year, we were able to take a trip to Disneyworld in Florida. We all had lots of fun and were able to go with both of our families. It was really hard to leave the nice weather and come home to snow, but that's just life. I hope this letter finds each and everyone of you happy and healthy. We have been so blessed this year and are so thankful to be a family. Please feel free to keep in touch with us through the year. I will eventually update the blog.
We love you and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Love,
The Combes Family
